Experience and Skills
Duties:
* Provide advanced technical support for end-users, resolving hardware and software issues in accordance with established SLAs.
* Establish and proactively monitor a baseline of workstation performance and security configuration.
* Mature framework and tools for assessing desktop and laptop performance.
* Review and document compatibility of software installed on workstations across the environment.
* Review hardware lifecycles with vendors and ensure internal refresh procedure is followed. Oversee lifecycle and plan of desktop/laptop hardware
* Oversee lifecycle and plan of workstation hardware including IT asset management components.
* Proactively monitor hardware and performance on workstations as new software and patches are implemented into the environment.
* Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to escalate and resolve complex technical problems, including network and system administrators.
* Work with Systems team to mature security configuration, imaging and build process.
* Manage the deployment and updates of software applications across physical and virtual workstation environments.
* Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and coordinate software license tracking.
* Provide hands on support and guidance with hardware currently deployed across DA Davidson. Seems duplicative of the first bullet, suggest removing.
* Mature incident and problem management practices around workstation performance related issues.
* Deploy and maintain performance monitoring tools for use on workstations.
Qualifications:
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and related components.
* Maintain and obtain Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) for end-points / Desktops
* Experience building performance baselines across end user computing devices.
* Experience with Windows operating systems and enterprise management
* Ability to manage escalated issues to diagnosis hardware and operating system issues
* Experience working with imaging and cloning systems
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field.
* 3+ years (or 7+ years without a degree) of experience with duties listed above.
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written; ability to communicate technical directions, both in person and over the phone
* Excellent customer service skills; ability to work successfully with a variety of personalities and various management levels.
* Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
* Highly self-motivated and self-directed
* Organized and detail oriented.

The potential pay range for this role is $60,000 - 90,000. The compensation offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis considering a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the skills, relevant work experience, and geographic location of each specific candidate. Additional incentive compensation may be earned based on performance.
