Job Description

Summary/Function:

Branch Onboarding and Training Specialist will oversee all aspects of onboarding and training new Client Associates (CAs), Branch Office Operations Managers (BOOMs), and Supervisory Branch Office Operations Managers (SBOOMs). The position will be responsible for providing uniform training in accordance with the Firm Policy and Procedures, Branch Guide to Operations, Supervision, and Compliance requirements. The position will develop and maintain training documents, videos, and additional training tools. Will provide specialized one-on-one training as well as additional support to CAs, BOOMs and SBOOMs as needed.

Experience and Skills

Qualifications:

*Successful completion of the Series 7, 66 (or 63/65), 9 and 10 preferred.
*5-6 years’ operations experience (from a branch office a plus).
*Working knowledge of the securities industry financial markets, products and client expectations.
*Facilitation and presentation skills. Prior experience training others.
*Excellent communication skills, Communicate in a clear and service oriented manner. Use appropriate, professional language and grammar to effectively exchange ideas and information.
*Ability to think creatively and build training for a wide variety of issues.
*Strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
*Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a sometimes stressful situation.
*Proactive, self-motivated.
*Diverse people skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others in a professional manner in order to accomplish objectives.
*Proficient technology skills with Microsoft Office, Intranet, Outlook, Thomson One, ZOOM and other applications and systems.
*Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule and to travel (approx. 25%, as needed).
*Follow policies and procedures. Maintain client confidentiality.
*Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance.

Duties:

Onboard new CA, BOOM and SBOOM hires
*Coordinates with the Regional Administrative Managers, Branches, and IT to ensure a smooth new hire and onboarding experience.
*Assesses equipment needs and coordinates with IT to ensure standard equipment is available or that new equipment is promptly ordered.
*Coordinates with the branch to correctly submit the New Hire IT Application request.
*Coordinates with the Branch and IT to troubleshoot any technical challenges that may arise on the hire date and during the first week.
*Help establish and organize central files with new BOOM or SBOOM hires.
Training
*Enhance current company CA, BOOM and (S)BOOM training plan
*Organize and run new CA training on a monthly basis
*Organize and run new (S)BOOM training on a Periodic basis
*Organize and run focused training on seasonal topics- i.e. RMDs, gifting, tax documents, etc.
*Develop and maintain training videos for CA, BOOM and (S)BOOM processes
*Develop and maintain Job Aids for CA, BOOM and (S)BOOM processes
*Creation and monitoring of a "CA Resources" Intranet Page
*Develop training materials for additional topics as necessary
Individual Support
*Provide one-on-one training sessions as necessary
*Work with Financial Professionals (FP) and (S)BOOM as needed to develop specific training plans for CA per FP or Team and branch needs
*Provide ongoing CA Training Support using Skype or ZOOM to share screens and support CAs as they encounter new tasks
Additional Job Duties
*May assist Transition Team to facilitate the onboarding and training process for new Financial Professionals (FPs) and their teams.
*May work with Desktop Solutions Group to present and demonstrate new desktop applications in person, via webinar and video conferences.
*Performs any other duties as assigned
