Job Description

Summary/Function:
The Network Engineer performs a wide-range of network-related duties, including the design, implementation, and maintenance of complex networks. Monitor and maintain existing infrastructure and collaboration amongst all Technology group across all IT Infrastructure. The Network Engineer will take a lead role in the following areas: network and voice design, disaster recovery planning, capacity planning, network security, network configuration, network, and voice administration. Monitor and maintain all network related equipment both on prem and cloud in all sites, respond to alerts, and mitigate outages. Manage network performance and maintain network security, reliability, scalability, capacity planning and expansion.

Experience and Skills

Qualifications:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a Network Engineer required.
* Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or PCNSA/E are preferred.
* Strong experience with networking solutions: Cloud based firewall, ZTNA deployment, SD-WAN, on-premises LAN switch, VPNs, Wi-Fi, WAN (BGP, OSPF), VLAN, global IP address management/planning, DNS/DHCP management.
* Experience with network voice/telephony solutions such as Microsoft Teams integration/direct routing is a plus.
* Experience with Azure Cloud networking (VNets, Express Routes, Route Server)
* Experience with Splunk is preferred.
* Experience with monitoring & optimizing tools (Solarwinds, Netflow analyzer, etc.)
* Excellent troubleshooting and analysis of complex network issues.
* Solid understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching technologies.
* Experience configuring and maintaining:
o Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama central management
o Cisco switching and routing, including Catalyst and Nexus platforms (L2 & L3)
o Wireless networks
o Cisco Meraki
* Familiar with SASE and SD-WAN concepts.
* Experience with Cisco ISE preferred.
* Proficient computer skills and knowledge of software packages and their applications to include Microsoft Office and Microsoft operating systems.
* Ability to safely lift and carry as much as 35 pounds.
* Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
* Ability to manage multiple activities and changing priorities.
* Experience working with vendors to ensure they meet deliverables\SLAs.
* Communicate in a clear and service oriented manner. Use appropriate, professional language and grammar to effectively exchange ideas and information.
* Follow policies and procedures. Maintain client confidentiality.
* Flexible work schedule is a requirement, must be able to work nights and weekends when necessary.

Duties:
* Designs, implements, secure, upgrades, manages and troubleshoots network systems including LAN, WAN, switching(L2&L3), routing (BGP, OSPF & EIGRP), wireless, firewalling, VPN, QoS, SDWAN, & MPLS.
* Proactively monitor device and system resource utilization, trends, and infrastructure capacity.
* Evaluate new and emerging products and solutions.
* Work to mature and further develop IT standards and processes.
* Manage deployment of infrastructure network technologies consistent with corporate standards.
* Follows documented network services processes and procedures - identifies gaps in processes or documentation and suggests improvements.
* Follow the change management policies to ensure that routine, comprehensive and emergency changes are logged and approved.
* Assist in the management of IT capacity, budget, projects, and business expectations.
* Manage and execute on infrastructure related projects and initiatives.
* Provide input and participate in strategic planning sessions.
* Develop reports and presentations for management as needed.
* Provide training and mentoring to IT personnel as needed, ensuring they are using company recourses effectively and securely.
* Travel as needed per project requirement.
* Perform any other duties as assigned.

The potential base pay hiring range for this role is $65,000 - $85,000. The compensation offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis considering a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the skills, relevant work experience, and geographic location of each specific candidate.
