Davidson is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a Scrum Master / Project Manager for leading enterprise technology and business initiatives within our Equity Capital Markets and Fixed Income Capital Markets Business Units. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work in a highly sophisticated environment with many different business groups and technology solutions. This position will be responsible for driving execution of initiatives designed to streamline business efficiencies and needs while leveraging standard project management methodologies. The individual will be responsible for overall project management and tasks including project tracking, communication and documentation.

Duties and Qualifications:
The Scrum Master / PM position requires specific technical knowledge to plan, organize, and direct resources, processes, and oversee timing for a technical process or project including:
* Partner with leadership to assess and prioritize work and to secure resources to support technology deployments
* Partner with IT and the business to developing detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports, conducting risk analysis and monitoring the progress of plans against project milestones and budgets;
* Providing technical and analytical guidance to the project team;
* Manage and communicate project issues and blockers
* Ensuring adherence to quality standards and review of project deliverables
* Analyzing and documenting requirements by liaising with a range of users in the organization; and
* Where applicable, managing the integration of vendor tasks and tracking and reviewing vendor deliverables. Compile and maintain project status reports
* Management of project schedules and meetings, help set timelines and manage to them
* Assist with the support of the firm’s project management office and environment. Tracking and follow through of existing project requests to ensure that all phases are documented appropriately
The candidate will be familiar with project management concepts, practices, and procedures and rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. As with many projects, a degree of creativity and latitude is required.

* Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence tools
* Prior Scrum Master job experience
* Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and five years of project management / Agile experience
* PMP certification is preferred; D.A. Davidson will sponsor continuing education
* Experience leading projects leveraging both agile and waterfall methodologies
* Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with Atlassian software development and collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence) a plus
* Information Technology and financial services background a plus
* Strong organizational and analytical skills
* Prior experience with Capital Markets is helpful, but not required
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong work ethic and teamwork skills
* Good judgment and ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential information
* Self-starter who is able to work independently and in a team
