Job Description

Summary/Function:
This is a leadership position on the D.A. Davidson Trust team. This individual manages the Operations Associate team and is responsible for overseeing all daily, quarterly and annual operational functions of the D.A. Davidson Trust Company. In addition, the individual is responsible for systems training, generation of management reporting, tax processing and supporting/leading key projects/initiatives. The job function provides back up support to the Director of Trust Operations.

Experience and Skills

Qualifications:
* Prior supervisory experience; 5+ years in operations, trust preferred
* College degree or 5-8 years comparable work experience
* Experience and understanding of different security types, set up and modifications
* Series 99 or 7 preferred, not required
* General knowledge of accounting principles
* Experience in the financial services industry, basic understanding of industry rules and regulations
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team; mentor others and serve a role model
* Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
* Follow policies and procedures; maintain client confidentiality
* Ability to proactively work with both external and internal clients; relate with others in a professional manner in order to accomplish work responsibilities and objectives; ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance
* Communicate in a clear and service oriented manner; use appropriate, professional language and grammar to effectively exchange ideas and information

* Strong understanding of basic fiduciary tax issues surrounding trust accounts

Duties:
* Permanently in office with consistent daily schedule
* Coordinate schedules of Senior Operations Associate and Operations Associate(s)
* Act as point person for complex issues, which includes resolving items escalated from the Senior Operations Associate
* Oversee any cross-training of Operations Associates on the trust accounting system and operation processes
* Review security set-up and maintenance
* Oversee daily operational functions of D.A. Davidson Trust Company to ensure accuracy and timeliness
* Oversee daily operation functions of D.A. Davidson Trust Company to ensure compliance with industry rules and regulations, along with firm policies and procedures
* Provide back up to the Director of Operations in modeling, rebalancing, trading and processing of Davidson Trust Company bills
* Provide back up to the Director of Operations in oversight of the Davidson Companies Retirement Plan
* Oversee Tax processing and work with software provider to ensure accuracy and timeliness
* Provide management with reporting regarding company revenues
* Provide reporting to the Chief Operations Officer regarding revenue and account coding
* Oversee processing of all State withholding and annual withholdings on behalf of Davidson Trust Company and the Davidson Companies Retirement plan
* Oversee processing and cross-training on all monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
* Take initiative to implement and/or update any large projects
* Develop, implement and maintain department policies and procedures
* Maintain regular communication with software provider to ensure all associates are aware of changes and or updates
* Oversee daily requests from Administrators and Trust Officers
* Assist Operations Associates in daily operational functions such as transfers, fees and statements
* Assist with any audit requests from Davidson Trust Company’s Compliance Examiner
* Act as system trainer for all new Associates and ensure that training materials are accurate and up to date
* Oversee processing of security litigations and maintain contract with vendor
* Provide oversight on Davidson Trust Company’s online portal and help troubleshoot when issues arise
