Job Description

The Operations Manager Level I works closely with department managers, supervisors and associates in a way that promotes the established company culture. The Manager Level I supervises delegated department(s) in a way that promotes continual improvement of processes, procedures, and communications, as well as, employee development. This individual will work with a focus on current industry rules and regulations. A primary function will be to implement processes and procedures that correspond to fulfilling the requirements of these rules and regulations, while also promoting efficiencies. The Manager Level I will perform delegated responsibilities under the leadership of specific Senior Operations Management.

Experience and Skills

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, related business field, or relevant work experience
* Possess the desire to learn how the area they manage interrelates with all other departments within Operations
* Possess strong leadership skills
* Possess managerial experience
* Proficient technology skills to include Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Familiar with back office accounting system a plus
* Ability to maintain confidentiality
* Strong written, verbal, analytical and presentation skills
* Ability to problem solve effectively
* Ability to work independently and also as part of a team
* Ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively
* Able to communicate effectively and provide thought leadership to the groups

Duties:

* Work effectively with Senior Operations Management
* Monitor employee activities and provide guidance
* Encourage positive work environment and culture for all employees
* Manage with a risk based approach to build a client friendly experience
* Coordinate staffing, training and onboarding
* Acquire Series 99, Operations Professional License, within a determined timeframe
* Periodic travel including branch visits and vendor conferences
* Direct oversight of specified department supervisors and support staff
* Effectively utilize all other resources that are determined to be beneficial in performing managerial duties
* Other duties as assigned
