Summary/Function:
D.A. Davidson & Co. is seeking a skilled, analytical, and experienced professional to join the Finance team as a Treasury Associate Vice President (AVP), focused on risk management and treasury operations. Reporting to the Treasurer, in this key role, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on firm-wide risks, including, but not limited to, market risk related to equity and fixed income trading inventory, counterparty risk, liquidity risk, and settlement risk; as well as assisting the firm’s treasury and cash management functions with cash flow forecasting, capital planning, and various operational items. Your role will be critical toward mitigating firm-wide risk and optimizing liquidity and capital.

Experience and Skills

Qualifications:
*Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.
*Advanced degree in Finance, Economics or Risk Management preferred.
*Professional designation (e.g., Chartered Financial Analyst, Financial Risk Management certification, or the Certified Treasury Professional credential) preferred.
*FINRA Series 99 or the ability to obtain it within 120 days of employment.
*Proven experience in capital markets, risk management, treasury operations, and/or cash management, preferably within a broker-dealer or financial institution
*Strong knowledge of capital markets, financial products, and risk management principles
*Familiarity with treasury systems, cash management tools and risk management platforms
*Proficiency in financial modeling and statistical analysis (familiarity with R or Python preferred), building presentations, and business writing.
*Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels.
*Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance standards relevant to risk management and treasury operations in the financial industry
*Maintain client and firm confidentiality.
*Ability to proactively work with both external and internal clients.
*Ability to relate with others in a professional manner to accomplish work responsibilities and objectives.

Duties:
*Enhance risk monitoring tools and processes to track and report on firm-wide current and potential future risk exposures including, but not limited to, market, credit, counterparty, and treasury operations risks.
*Enhance risk reports containing various metrics including, but not limited to, gap analysis, duration, value-at-risk and expected shortfall.
*Work collegially and collaboratively to understand firm-wide risks, develop strategies and processes to mitigate risk, improve governance and controls, and ensure proper escalation and compliance with internal policies and guidance.
*Help to design scenarios and maintain models to conduct scenario analysis and stress tests (for example, Monte Carlo simulation)
*Provide insights and recommendations to Finance leadership and senior management on risk mitigation strategies.
*Assist the Treasurer in liquidity and funding risk management, including contingency planning.
*Assist colleagues across finance, operations, and the business lines with policy and procedure documentation and operational efficiency efforts
*Assist the Treasurer and operations teams with daily liquidity management, position monitoring and cash flow forecasting.
*Collaborate with Treasury and FP&A teams, assisting with capital management by developing and maintaining financial models, analysis and inputs, ensuring optimal utilization of resources in alignment with strategic objectives.
*Assist the Treasurer in bank relationship management and performance analysis.
*Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in treasury and risk management to enhance processes, including participating in relevant training.
*Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

The potential base pay hiring range for this role is $115,000 - $125,000. The compensation offered will be determined on a case-by-case basis considering a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the skills, relevant work experience, and geographic location of each specific candidate. This role is eligible to participate in applicable D.A. Davidson variable compensation programs.
