Job Description

Summary:
This individual will work closely with all staff members, including those in operations, client service and portfolio management, to assist in the day-to-day management of the firm’s accounts and relationships. This position is required to maintain a high degree of confidentiality with respect to client and company information.

Experience and Skills

Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree
* 2+ years of industry experience preferred.
* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Proficient in Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Highly organized and detail oriented, able to manage multiple demands and competing priorities.
* Ability to work with a variety of personalities in a team environment.
* Ability and desire to take on additional responsibilities to support career progression.

Duties:
* Assist in the trading for fixed income and equity portfolios, including:
o Build orders for individual accounts and block trading.
o Maintain and update portfolio models within our portfolio accounting system.
o Maintain and manage portfolio restrictions.
o Facilitate communication of trade order allocation details between custodians and executing brokers; research/resolve discrepancies to ensure timely trade settlement.
* Perform post-trade compliance checks to ensure accuracy of data and compliance with portfolio rules.
* Prepare trade analysis reports in support of business development efforts.
* Review and update security information within our portfolio accounting and trading systems
* Maintain account-level details in portfolio accounting and CRM systems.
* Provide backup and cross training with other Operations staff.
